Acting Intro Courses
Acting Intro courses are designed for anyone who is interested in acting or in becoming a better communicator. Because the skills we need to develop as beginner actors are the same skills, the business world calls these ‘soft skills.’ The Introduction to Acting Course is valuable training for anyone in business, and below are the Top 5 Soft Skills that businesses value.
COMMUNICATION, TEAMWORK (Actors call this the Ensemble), INITIATIVE (on stage, an actor knows anything can go wrong at any time - and often does - it’s their job to fix it - so initiative is imperative), ADAPTABILITY (Improvising), EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE (Or empathy - which is what great actors have a vast amount of).
The practice of having spontaneous, truthful reactions is part of the actor’s trade. They are very much part of the skill set practiced in the Acting Intro class.
